Date ideas: the 10 dates we’ve been on (and you can go on) in Singapore

Those who know us know that we rarely go out for dates. YF is a home body haha. His ideal date is staying at home.

Within the year of our relationship, apart from traveling, we go on unique and fun dates! Just so I can max out every date I have with him.

Here’s the 10 dates we’ve been on:

1. Night cycling + hawker food hopping + Watching the sunrise

This was my suggestion on how to celebrate our anniversary. He gave in.

We left house around midnight with our bikes and cycled from East Coast Park to Bedok 85 where we had some food and then back to Macs where we watched dota 2 TI finals.

Then we watched the sunrise. It is also tonight that YF realized how bad I am at cycling.

2. Indoor rock climbing at HomeTeam NS Tampines Clip N’ Climb

Tip: Safra card holders have discount, and hometeam NS members have an even greater discount. One card offers one person a discounted price.

3. Feast

This was at a Korean BBQ place at West Coast Park. It has great service-they grill your meat and cut them up for you, and for $50 you get unlimited free flow meat and sides and a special item which can be Korean cold noodles, tofu soup or even saba fish!

4. Art museum

I love love art galleries and I’ve heard of Yayoi Kusama’s work online and I yearned to go to America to see it.. AND THEY CAME TO SINGAPORE YAY!! In the limited time they were here, we decided to go on the last day! The queues were insane as many tried to see the exhibits before they leave Singapore. I loved it! YF, not so… ):

5. Universal studios Singapore

I love going to USS because of the ambience. YF loves the roller coaster rides.

6. Halloween horror night at USS

This is our tradition since we started dating a couple years back. It still freaks me out, but the queues are a little insane and the scare actors couldn’t do as many jump scares as we wanted. And we waited really long to enter one house. And YF didn’t like my in-line entertainment of pick up lines.

“Hey, do you like sleeping?”
*person nods
“Cool! Me too! We should do it together some time”
Hehehehe.

7. Adventure cove

We went on a double date with my parents for this. They loved it.

Unlike any water park, the highlight is snorkelling at the rainbow reef where you can see saltwater fish. And the lazy river leads you to an overarching tunnel of fish and manta rays!!!
